Basically, us Downtonian's need to get together at some point between now and the next series. We've currently got the wonderful Downton Abbey rewatch to last us until the heart breaking Christmas episode, but then - WE HAVE TO WAIT.
And so in order to make it through the long, Downtonless, months of 2012, we (Alice and I) propose a Downtonian meet-up. It will be a time to ship, procrastinate, cry, and laugh with other Downtonians - in person.

So basically when we rang Highclere they said booking would be available from Feb 1st and to book on that day before they sold out. But now they’re saying it’s going to be available in mid-feb…So here’s the plan of action: If you can you should check the website everyday to see if tickets are available OR you can send them an email (which can be found on the website) and they will send you a message when booking is open!

There are currently only nine people (+friends..so there’s actually probably more but shush) who can definitely make the meet-up! If anyone else thinks they’ll be there, please message us on the blog and we’ll add you to the list here.
Also, anyone pre-booking tickets for Highclere, needs to do so on the 1st of February, two days time from now. You need to make sure you book the afternoon tickets, else you’ll miss us! We’ll be going under the guise of individuals - because we’re not all sharing the same bus or whatever - so don’t try and buy a group ticket (I don’t think you guys actually would, but I have, so.. just in case). In order to give people time to get there, we’re going to be pre-booking the afternoon tickets. This will allow us to visit the grounds & the castle at any time between 1 and 4. If you want to ensure you get tickets the best time to book would be the 1st of February, when tickets go on sale.
